Paul Kurtz wants to know to what extent can skepticism be applied to religion. I think that this question will never be answered. I feel that both science and religion will always argue why they are right. The scientist will tell us how they can prove it with logic and theory. While religion will protest by claiming its because of faith. My suggestions to both sides is to become critical thinkers. People need to allow themselves the opportunity to encounter new opinions or ideas. This suggestion sounds really easy but we know its very complicated. The reason is because most people argue that they where born and raised with their beliefs. This passage is just trying to see if religion is real. He mentions that skepticism has been used in all the areas of science but has not worked in all the areas of religion. I think skepticism should be applied to religion. People will never know to what extent if they don't try it.
